Today, March 27th 2019, I have decided to talk about a subject that is very close to my heart: The influence of mobile phones and other devices as well as the use of the social media in our lives.
Before I start, let me introduce myself quickly.
My name is Fadila. After having left my “comfortable” job in the financial sector, I have created my business coaching practice that I called Gioia Life Coaching, here in Luxembourg.
My goal is to help people to improve their lives using the tools that were so powerful, helpful and effective for me.
Talking about the influence of the digital world in our lives, I have decided to do a series of 5 videos. After each video, I will give you a challenge.
As this is my #1st video ever, thank you for your patience and support. You can find the link below:

If you ask me, it all starts at home. As my husband sits on the sofa gazing at his laptop at the end of the day, and my lovely son watching at his mobile without saying a word while his friend sits next to him watching as well at this mobile – Sometimes, I feel like walking over and smashing the devices over their heads…
The thrill of watching the screens shatter combined with the looks on their faces as the wake up from their sleep and enter finally the real world of laughter, emotion and conversation is almost too tempting.
But I don’t – I tolerate it, smile and make coffee, be quiet not to interrupt them
WOW! What a nice family, right? We are not so different than other families, but I have to admit that it’s sad.
Nowadays, go to any airport waiting lounge, sit without a phone and look around, smiling at people – I can guarantee you will be consider as weird and behaving suspiciously because you will be in the 1% of people not looking at your mobile.
It’s as if people avoid talking to each other. Even in restaurants or bars, people pay more attention to their phones than the person next to them. Or, if they’re alone, there’s no issue: the phone is the perfect companion.
As I come to the end of this video, I would like to address you the challenge.
Probably most of you don’t realize how dependant they are on their mobile phones, playstation or social media.
Therefore, when you go back home at the end of the day, can you get rid of your mobile phone or any other devices for 2 hours?
What did you do instead?
I am looking forward to hearing your experience on Youtube, Facebook or LinkedIn.
With Love,
Fadila
