Have you ever felt disappointed when you were not performing as much as you expected it? Or have you ever felt angry by your behavior when you did not react “the right way” with someone?
I am sure it happens to all of us, and probably more often that we are aware of it.
More than the situation itself, we don’t accept how we responded to it. As a consequence, with our criticism, resentment, anger, sadness etc… we are creating resistance within.
Do you know what result we are producing with this attitude? We are maintaining ourself stuck in the past. As we are living in a “linear” time, what occurred even two minutes before, is part of the past.
More trapped we are in our emotions, more resistance we are generating. That is the reason why, meanwhile the situation is behind us, we still feel it so present and real that we don’t even notice that we might trigger the same result in the present time and even in the future.
The only way to free us up is the Acceptance. Accepting a reality that we don’t want or don’t like maybe the most difficult aspect of Life.
Accepting that past can’t be changed is the 1st step. Acknowledging our emotions is the 2nd step and last, but not least, accepting these emotions is the most important step to release the resistance to the past.
Accept that you were disappointed, angry, sad, frustrated… will help you to leave the past where it should be and be more opened to your present and probably create another future.
This part is very powerful, beyond what you can imagine, in spite of his simplicity.
I tested it personally in my life and each time, I felt more resilient.
“The moment that judgement stops through acceptance of what it is, you are free of the mind. You have made room for love, for joy, for peace.» Eckhart Tolle.
Do you want to know more about Acceptance? I would be delighted to share my experience with you.
With Love and Acceptance,
Fadila
